Meanwhile, Back to Important Issues
The AP reports that Congress, in its new energy bill, includes a provision extending daylight savings time.
Needless to say, no one's holding any of the energy companies accountable, enforcing EPA regulations aimed at the same ill, or doing much to create incentives for industry to explore truly revolutionary alternative energy strategies. But at least it's one area in which they aren't lambasting the courts. Although Tom DeLay doesn't appear to be involved yet.
"Extending daylight-saving time makes sense, especially with skyrocketing energy costs," said Rep. Fred Upton, R-Mich., who along with Rep. Ed Markey, D-Mass., co-sponsored the measure.
